I am looking forward to an exciting 2010-2011 school year, and I expect to work very hard because I want to be the very best at what I do. Therefore, I expect you to work very hard because I also want you to be the very best you can be.
While the work we do might be challenging, I truly believe: It is from our greatest challenges that we often discover our true strengths. (This is one of the new principles in my book titled A Little Book of Big Principles--Values and Virtues for a More Successful Life.) Hard work doesn't have to be drudgery. In fact, hard work can be lots of fun. So, I also expect to have a lot of fun. I will be posting information on this Wiki specifically for the Senior Honors English students at Goldsboro High School. This information may be as varied as a link to another important website or a file related to an important topic. You will have opportunities to participate in discussions with me and other students and to read informative and relevant information we all will share. It will be your responsibility to sign in on the GHSSHE Wiki at least twice a week to catch up on new information and postings.
To get you familiar with a range of digital tools that can help you in all your classes, I've prepared on the left of this page several links to information that will help you to gain a very good understanding of how you can improve your presentations and academic performance. Some of these tools also can be tremendous assets in conducting research, which is something you must do in order to complete your Graduation Project satisfactorily. Therefore, I expect you to do well in all your classes and to continue your work on developing an academic and intellectual mindset. If you ever encounter any problems accessing the site or posting information, please let me know immediately.
